This week on the set of Doctor Who we saw the team head for Valencia, Spain. Amid large crowds of fans and some great new pictures, it was announced that they have wrapped up filming block one of the new series.
Filming for series 10 has been ongoing since June and the latest episode brought the cast and crew to Spain for four days this week. The episode was created by award-winning screenwriter Frank Cottrell-Boyce and will be the second of the series. They caused quite a stir while they were in Valencia and fans flocked to see the stars on set.
The week opened with Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie taking a selfie outside the City of Arts and Sciences Museum, Valencia. Peter looks very toasty in that dark coat and hoodie but we’re loving the new outfit.

Fans converged on the filming location following its announcement. One of them was David M Amoedo, former TV presenter at TV Information who tweeted a great shot of himself with Capaldi.

Another lucky fan, Alex Vonavi, also nabbed an audience with the Time Lord. As is frequently the case, Peter is every inch the Doctor even in his photos with fans. We can’t help but notice they have the same shades. Do you think Alex’s are sonic too?

Doctor Who official tweeted an end to filming on Thursday, showing the Twelfth Doctor’s news sonic screwdriver alongside a very familiar pair of sunglasses. Knowing the Doctor, it’s safe to say that they’re no simple accessory.

That’s the week in review. Our stars have had a busy week as well as some great fun in the sun. We’re looking forward to seeing what they get up to next and, as always, we’ll be sure and keep you posted on any new developments.
